At Asanka, our passion is sharing the richness of West African cuisine through refined, modern dining experiences. Rooted in Ghanaian tradition, we honour the bold flavours, ingredients and stories that define West African food culture while reimagining them through contemporary techniques, British influences, and the best of seasonal produce. 

We believe food is more than just a meal - it is an experience and a chance at connection. From intimate supper clubs, relaxed gatherings to elevated special occasions and corporate dining, Asanka curates seamless moments that bring people together through flavour, creativity and storytelling. 

Our offering include 3-5 course private dining, canapé stations, corporate catering, and immersive supper club experiences. No matter the occasion, our offerings are designed to celebrate West African Cuisine in innovative and memorable ways.

Chef Phy

Meet Chef Phy

Chef Phy is a Ghanaian-born private chef and the founder of Asanka. Originally working as an ICU nurse, her journey into the culinary world began through a self-taught exploration and passion for food, culture and storytelling. Tapping into her early influences cooking with her grandmother and mother, she transformed a creative outlet into a platform for celebrating West African cuisine.

Deeply inspired by the traditions, flavours and Ingredients of the West African continent, Chef Phy creates dining experiences that honour authenticity while embracing modern influences and refined presentation. Her work is rooted in sharing the stories behind the food, introducing guests to the richness and depth of West African culture through thoughtful yet approachable, flavour-led menus. 

Her work, supper club and culinary perspective have been featured in Condé Nast Traveller, Financial Times, and Vogue's Family Style.
